Yeah, I was also recalling Op: ACTN while reading this and thinking, Hm, maybe you're just lucky.
+1 on Verizon. I just got off the phone with them, and they managed to increase my channels, and then cut my bill in half.

I just canceled my TVMAX service, their new digital cable is garbage, it wouldnt even work 80% of the time, it would just be a black screen on all my pay channels. After weeks trying to get a cable guy out and re-programing the boxes, I just decided to call it quits, I don't watch it enough anyways. Plus, the last time I called to speak with someone they were EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful, it was one of those people you want to choke through the phone

oh yeah, forgot to update you guys.
the History channel thing is now resolved. They finally confirmed they dropped it from our lineup but now we're missing channel 2 which is one of our local channels.
I'm not even going down the road with these guys again. we're swapping over to comcast as soon as it's available.
