I got the email at 2300hrs Friday and checked their site at 0900 Saturday morning. They had already sold out of all but one of the deals they advertised.
Me too :banghead: . Maybe I don't need an AR :grumble .

Check out Bud's website and notice the number of folk who are also looking when you are. :eek6
Same here...I was even checking my mail when I got it, but didn't bite the bullet. No spare $699 sitting around... :banghead:

Oldgringo wrote:Firstly, Add 3% to the Bud's price if you use a CC rather than send a M.O. or Cashier's Check. Plus, add 1% for insurance (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) to the advertised price and then add $25, whatever, for transfer fee. That's your cost. So, how does this cost stack up to the local merchant's price with sales tax? :headscratch

I was very pleased :anamatedbanana with my XD 9 SC purchase from Bud's and am now eagerly awaiting receipt of my (insured) XD .45 Service. :fire

Get 'em while they're hot (and available)! :txflag:

PS:

I re-joined the NRA today after an absence of many many moons.
I'm still anxiously awaiting my XD .45 Service. :totap: Bud's e-mails tell me that it's reached the shipping department and that they are overwhelmed with buyers, :eek6.

It'll be here soon...maybe. Once here, it'll be :fire .

I like Buds :patriot:

I have ordered two guns from them and some ammo. A little slow on shipping but no issues...no sales tax either.

I have bought several guns from Acadamy in the past few years. I have found IF they have it in stock the price can not be beat, but if not then look elsewhere.

The Old Army is a cap and ball revolver - legal to ship straight to your front door.

:anamatedbanana My XD .45 Service w/ Thumb Safety arrived in town last Saturday. All things considered, it was about 100 smackers cheaper than store price. That's my second handgun from Bud's and yes, I'll order from them again and yes, the next order will also be insured.

:thewave to Bud's

I sincerely believe you can do better at the local gun shows. If I remember correctly, AJC Sport Shop has it for less at the SAXET gun shows in San Antonio.

I've got another positive customer service experience dealing with Buds Gun Shop. A few weeks ago I ordered a used Ruger KP90 from them. The item title listed it as having 6 mags and the item description listed that it came with two. I was going to email them and enquire about the mag disparity but, it was a good deal either way and I didn't want to lose the deal to someone else, so I went ahead and ordered the gun. It was delivered to my FFL dealer with 2 mags. I then emailed Buds and they acknowledged the discrepancy between the title and description. Evidently, they had originally offered the gun with six mags then changed the add description to only include 2 mags and lowered the price but didn't change the add title (which still stated it came with 6 mags). They informed me they had parted with one of the mags but would overnight the other 3! I thought that was pretty cool. They could have acknowledged the mistake and said tough luck, but they didn't. The mags that showed up are brand spanking new, still in the package. I looked them up online and they are $28 each. You can't beat an outfit that wants to keep their customers happy :clapping:

I've bought both guns and holsters from Buds and they are OK in my book. I got a chance to visit them when I was doing some consulting work in KY and I was very impressed with the store and items stocked. :thumbs2:
