I have no regrets for my vot (I voted McCain) but I do regret that he was the Republican nominee. I respect the MAC, but I have never liked the MAC, but there is no way I was going to vote for the liberal agenda. I would be interested in knowing if the 82% of you felt the same about McCain.

nope... no regrets. I'd like to say that i can't imagine anyone regretting who they voted for, but put this poll up on a national level and ask again in a few years.

no regrets here...McCain wouldn't have been my 1st choice at republican nominee....but I'd take him any day over the alternative.

No, but I regret that any gun owner would vote for bambam, and I think they will eventually regret it too.

I am totally disgusted with all of them - Democrats and Republicans alike. Shame on all of them!

This country did not get in the shape it's in last week, last month or last year. The US government has failed the American people and it started many years/administrations ago. These elected self-serving sodomites (Republicans and Democrats alike) have spent their entire terms serving themselves, each other and their special interests rather than the USA. Did I mention that I'm :mad5 .

I say fire all 545 of them and let's start over! :patriot:

Footnote:
House of Reps 435
Senate 100
Supreme Crt 9
President 1
Total 545

No, no regrets...however, we didn't have much of a choice, either.

How did this get posted in General Gun, Shooting & Equipment Discussion? Seems like "Off Topic" would be a more appropriate place.

I reserve the right to keep my ballot secret. I will, however say that I was disappointed in my options. I voted for the best choice, in my opinion.

My bigger focus was really on local, county, Federal legislative, and state positions. Presidential races pretty much eclipse all other races as far as campaigning and media coverage is concerned, so it requires extra effort to make an informed choice.

I always felt Presidential election are disasters because all the amateurs come out who know nothing about the candidates and vote anyway.

My only regret is that so few Americans exercise their right to vote.

I have no regrets for the way I voted. I do, however, regret the way a lot of others voted.

I suspect that my regrets will get more common as the new administration gains enough experience to understand that their grand expectations are just a little out of reach.

It's unfortunate that they will cause soooo much damage finding out that change simply for the sake of change (wonder what happens if I do this?) should be experienced in childhood and left there as soon as you mature from finding out how dangerous it can be. :banghead:

I don't regret my vote, but I'm sure I'll regret a whole lot of other people's!

I made my best decision I could and voted for the Constitution. Texas was already all in for McCain so voting for him was less effective, in my opinion, than voting a third party. It was in hopes of edging closer to a more feasible election with better choices and more responsibility for the issues. If the public could see a significant support for third parties, fewer people might feel like their vote is 'wasted' by voting third party.

This is the thing that really gets my goat about elections. They drag people in from anywhere by the bus loads and sign them up and take them to the polls and tell them where to put the x. They have no idea of what they are doing...they have been told what to do and they do it! :mad5
