I think what he's asking is can you load 12 to 14 9mm rounds in one of the 10 round 40 Smith mags and the answer is a resounding yes. Not only that they sit a bit higher and are more dependable.
You can also do it in the P2K mags and compact mags. (same mag)
That was how a huge bunch of us got hig cap mags during the AWB.. Buy a 10 round 40 Smith and grin because few clerks in guns stores knew the secret and those that did were doing the same thing.
I put 200 rounds through 2 of them this past weekend.
That is exactly why I purchase ONLY 40 Smith mags now. If I move to Ca it will be those mags I take with me.

Like i said earler ... the setup has been tested extensivly. I have 250 rounds throught this mag alone 50 being carry ammo

Sometimes these arguements make me think us poor working stiffs should just sell the guns and hope for the best. Its just so darn risky trying to survive in this old world. I suspect the only home invasion I will have to fight off will catch me with my highly customized target pistol with the hottest screaming handloads I've ever created and that silly 33 round mag that I never thought I'd use. It seems so much safer to just curl up in a ball in the corner of the basement and hope all goes well

New Jersey forbids carrying hollow point rounds in a loaded gun. This leaves you with the choice of solid points (generally FMJ in an auto pistol) or Federal's EFMJ rounds if you are one of the very few people privileged to carry a handgun in that state.

Using FMJ rounds creates a high likelihood of overpenetration and poor stopping results. They would be a poor (and potentially negligent) choice anywhere else.

Let California and NJ wallow in their foolishness and enjoy the freedom you have in Texas and other reciprocal states.
