I dont think its because its unpopular, rather than being scared, look at JFK, he told the world their plan and not too long after he was murdered. I dont understand how a majority of the people do not question things more.
Who is "their" and just what do you think the "plan" was? I must be clueless after 54 yrs. 'cause I'm just not following you here.

The plan was the same as I stated above, JFK was against it, he was wanting to pull out of the war, which would intern make the "elite"(world bank memebers) not make the money that they LOVE to make off of every war by trading and selling to both sides. Every war they "the bankers [Rockafellers, Rothchilds, kissengers] make money, look at WW2, IBM (an american company) sold Hitler machinery for the concentration camps to put the jews in catigories (ie: their number). Anyways, this is just an example. Im not calling anyone a liar or telling them they are uninformed, this is just my view on the things I have researched. Sorry for misspellings, im at work and dont have time to spellcheck.

While I'm somewhat curious about the sources of your research, likely I'm already familiar with them and would rather not see them posted here or anywhere. I'm more on the same page with flintknapper than Travis.

Uhhhh, for what its worth, the US Military has had bases in Conus since 1776....bringing troops home just means they return to their Conus bases....
