My brother is a cop and he said when he runs someones license it shows up if you have a chl. So you might as well show it if you got it anyway
I would be willing to bet a significant portion of my personal assets that the system doesn't tell the cop in the patrol car the date your CHL was mailed. LOL So yeah, you're likely to have to 'splain what's going on if you're stopped and questioned while you have a legal car-gun in the window between "application complete" and "plastic in hand."
But that's only about a 1 week window so odds are fair that it won't happen. I wouldn't call it a non-issue, tho. Just because the "odds" are that a JP will see reason doesn't mean that a LEO with an attitude for whatever reason can't make your life annoying. (Note, I'm not suggesting the hypothetical LEO has a bad attitude to start with.. it's entirely possible the LEO got his attitude because of the CHL person's bad attitude.)
