In another thread, I noted that I bought some small rifle primers at Southwest Ammunitions yesterday. They still had a bit left. SPS Guns in Carrollton also had small rifle primers yesterday. Don't know how many they have left. It was $40 a thousand at both places.

Try 10Rings in Cypress.

They have a lot of reloading components in stock.

Stopped by there this afternoon, and they're limiting primers to 1,000 to person, with little stock on hand and no expectation of a delivery soon. :grumble

I just took stock of my reloading supplies and its not looking good -this is starting to limit my practice. :grumble

5500 Large Pistol Primers
6500 Small Pistol Primers
Enough Jacketed bullets for those primers, and plenty of lead to cast twice that number.
Powder supplies to load twice as many rounds as primers on hand :???:

So clearly the bottle-neck on my reloading bench will soon be primers -and while I do have 500+ factory rounds on hand of each caliber I shoot, I don't see myself dipping into those reserves for IDPA shooting. IDPA may need to change their caliber requirements if they want me to keep showing up, cause soon the only pistol I'll be shooting is my old Buckmark :cryin

After asking about the out of stock status Graf's recommended that I order anyway and they'd fill it anyway. I'm guessing (pretty safe guess) that backorders are not completely filled with each shipment, so if you wait for stock to show up on the websites you'll be waiting a LONG time. Go ahead and backorder it and at least you'll be in line.

I couldn't make it there until Sunday and of course they were out. The only thing there were Wolfe small rifle primers. I am looking for large pistol primers. I did make a connection there and have a somewhat inside track on some primers when the guy selling them gets them. I knew if I didn't make it there Saturday, there wouldn't be any and I was right. I hate that!!!
