Re: Pluto Pax
Wonderful news guys. They are a real joy and a lot of fun when they are little. However, they eventually turn into teenagers.

Fortunately, they generally grow out of it.Keith B wrote:Wonderful news guys. They are a real joy and a lot of fun when they are little. However, they eventually turn into teenagers.

Thanks, everyone, for the well-wishes.

Actually, the toddler years can be a joyful experience. After all, this is when you can start doing things with them instead of just for or around them. Their minds are going 90 miles a minute, learningVenus Pax wrote:Thanks, everyone, for the well-wishes.

We enjoyed our son's toddler years immensely.

In all seriousness my daughter is now 16 and I couldn't ask for a finer young lady. She is a real blessing!!

Congratulations!
BTW, As someone mentioned, Pluto was the god of the underworld/dead (and was not descended from Venus/Aphrodite, and was male to boot). How about Harmonia Pax? In mythology, Harmonia was Venus/Aphrodite's daughter...

Re: Pluto Pax
Yeah, but she could end up being called Harmonica.

Possibly. I suspect that folks here wouldn't do that to her (how about "Harmony Pax"?).
I do know what you mean, though. I tend to be sensitive to potential corruption of a name since my IRL name is often mispronounced or abused and has been since my childhood.
Re: Pluto Pax
I know when I was growing up, every unusual name like Harvey or Sadie was made fun of. That probably hasn't changed.
