Wonderful news guys. They are a real joy and a lot of fun when they are little. However, they eventually turn into teenagers. :smilelol5:

Fortunately, they generally grow out of it.

I've taught middle school for nine years; I'm more afraid of the toddler years.

Congrats.

Daughters are a blessing, every father should have a Daddy's Girl.

Actually, the toddler years can be a joyful experience. After all, this is when you can start doing things with them instead of just for or around them. Their minds are going 90 miles a minute, learning :bigear: and soaking up info on how the world works and what their place in it is. Yes, it can take some patience, :waiting: and more than a bit of ingenuity :headscratch to keep that curiosity channeled in a constructive direction, but it's worth it to watch them grow and blossom into a true individual.

We enjoyed our son's toddler years immensely. Even when he frustrated the you-know-what :mad5 out of us.

I know you guys will do just fine Venus, even in the toddler years. :thumbs2:

In all seriousness my daughter is now 16 and I couldn't ask for a finer young lady. She is a real blessing!!

Congratulations! :thewave

BTW, As someone mentioned, Pluto was the god of the underworld/dead (and was not descended from Venus/Aphrodite, and was male to boot). How about Harmonia Pax? In mythology, Harmonia was Venus/Aphrodite's daughter...

Yeah, but she could end up being called Harmonica.

Possibly. I suspect that folks here wouldn't do that to her (how about "Harmony Pax"?).

I do know what you mean, though. I tend to be sensitive to potential corruption of a name since my IRL name is often mispronounced or abused and has been since my childhood.

I know when I was growing up, every unusual name like Harvey or Sadie was made fun of. That probably hasn't changed.
