Only 2 commercial AR's for me (Colt and RRA) while the rest are custom builds. I did pick up an XCR (lightweight barrel) though since I wanted a piston AR-ish rifle. In the process of building an 11.5" Adams Arms piston gun as well. The XCR is interesting though. It's not much heavier than a standard AR and there is very little plastic involved in its construction. I think the grip is about the only piece that is plastic. With that said, its a very solid gun. I also like it uses standard AR mags and the folding stock is also a big plus (especially if you SBR it as it will fit in a small backpack). The gas regulation system (similar to a FAL) allows you to tweak the cycling to whatever ammo you're using. There is also an "S" setting for suppressed which turns the gas virtually off so that the bolt will not cycle, which keeps you a bit quieter. Did I mention multicaliber capability? Like an AR, you can do different calibers, but instead of having to buy separate uppers etc all I need to do is buy a barrel and bolt set for the caliber that I want. As of now they support 6.8 SPC, 6.5x39mm, and 7.62x39mm. I really wanted a rifle that could handle 7.62x39 since I only have one AK and a bunch of rounds for it and I wanted an extra gun that could shoot it as well. The take down is easy too. There is a button that opens up the upper from the lower receiver and a pin in the front that completely separates the two. I like that there are fewer really small parts in a detail strip than an AR. The one crappy thing is the trigger though which unlike an AR, I can't buy a drop in replacement like a Timney etc. Robarms is working on an enhanced trigger that will be available soon which I will end up getting since a trigger is usually the first thing that I like to replace on an AR (except my Colt). The other kind of odd thing about the XCR is that it throws my brass at a two o'clock position about 8-15' away from me. So all my brass gets thrown in front of the firing line which makes it more difficult to keep up with. I've recently been collecting 556/223 brass as well as anything that looks good at the range.
Here's video on me at Impact Zone on the XCR's first trip to the range.
