How ever you pack it, be careful about the weight of this stuff. I collapsed a shelf in a storage cabinet with ammo. I put it on the shelf one case at a time over a several month period. Not thinking about the weight of all the ammo added together, I just kept on stacking it. I pushed my luck too far and the shelf gave way. It was kind of funny when I thought about it later. I had about 500 pounds of ammo stacked on a shelf designed to hold shoes and stuff. I was surprised it held up so well. Anyway....make sure your storage spot can handle the weight. Now I am watching to see if my house starts sinking in the corner I have my ammo stored.
