Thank you all. I'll get it worked out somehow. My FFL in Rusk and I are friends and interact socially. I don't want to cause him FFL grief. As CompVest noted, If I waited all winter, I can wait a couple more months.

What this points out is the folly of the law. I, an honest (and good-looking) senior taxpayer, can't buy a handgun across state lines while a bad guy is not troubled by the law's silliness. The BG will conk somebody over the head or break a window or something, get the gun and go on his/her merry way. {***sigh***}

I FINALLY GOT IT! :woohoo It only took about 20 calendar days after purchase and passing through five sets of hands to get back up here to me in Colorado.

Our former State Farm agent's son lives and works in Denver and went to visit his folks at home this past weekend. He brought it back to me Tuesday. We had to make a 200 mile drive (each way) over to Walsenburg to intercept Dee and his family on I-25 but what the hey, it was a great RV outing with lots of scenery and wildlife sighting plus the NIB SA 1911A1 Lightweight Compact has finally come home to her daddy. :fire

BTW, we hit the Trinidad Wal-Mart right after the truck left yesterday. :drool: My six (6) boxes were 2-.45 WWB's, 2- 9mm WWB's and 2 bricks of Win HV bricks of .22 LR HP - all at regular prices.

What a great week...so far.:thumbs2:

Throw some of that luck back down to Texas.
