Yeah, well, whatever. You're probably right, but I'm not letting a dumb thing like some liberal judge's willingness to instantly criminalize millions of peaceful, law-abiding citizens prevent me from carrying mine - a Kershaw Ken Onion Tactical Blur. I'm a low-profile, regular citizen, without any previous arrest record or other legal baggage. You wouldn't be able to pick me out of a crowd. There's absolutely no reason that an LEO would want to search me - unless I was involved in a shooting - and the cops in my area tend to be favorably disposed toward the citizens they protect, and favorably disposed toward their rights. I can't imagine that a local LEO would hard-time me about my knife unless I had given him a good reason to give me the stink eye. Heck, I've had it in plain view, clipped in my right front pocket, while talking to a cop on several occasions. Nobody cares except for a few hard core leftists who have their britches in such a twist that they aren't happy unless they're visualizing inflicting the same beatings they received from bullies in grade school upon the rest of the citizenry.

FWIW, I know at least one cop who carries a Ti-Lite (and him showing it to me was the reason I got one too). His opinion, as I understood it, was that laws regarding knife carry in any state are mostly confusing rubbish, and I should carry whatever I think I need, short of a huge Bowie (too obvious) or an actual switchblade. If the cops want to arrest me for carrying a knife, they can do so regardless of the type of knife, due to the confusion in the laws. (Of course, there is a problem with this situation, but it is what it is).

It really is compelling to have one and carry it, more so than other folders. In the hands of a knife expert, it must surely be one bad instrumentality.

For a bit of clarification, the definition of a switchblade is as follows:

(11) "Switchblade knife" means any knife that has a blade that folds, closes, or retracts into the handle or sheath, and that:
(A) opens automatically by pressure applied to a button or other device located on the handle; or
(B) opens or releases a blade from the handle or sheath by the force of gravity or by the application of centrifugal force.

Not button, and not a butterfly, then you're good.
I carry an assisted opening knife with very similar thumb spurs at the pivot point, just like this one. A simple push, and the blade swings out.
Since that monstrosity of a bill to redefine knives failed, they are still legal... for now.

To the poster who assumed if you can legally buy it, then it's legal... That's incorrect.
You can legally buy/own real switchblades and butterfly knives, but you can't carry them in public.
When transporting them from your point of sale, I'd recommend putting it in the trunk, and having the receipt handy.
