MPA also reduced the advantage of a CHL for many people.

I think a bunch of folks who might favor the CHL laws have concluded they don't need to get one. I'm convinced only a very small percentage of us with a CHL actually carry the gun (on our person), I know I've spoken to many with CHL's who find the main advantage is that it speeds up buying a gun :roll:

Our small gun club has put on a few "action pistol" days with simple defensive scenario to get CHL'ers (and really any handgunner) out to practice -and I'm always stunned at how many with a CHL don't even own a holster suitable for serious carry :totap:

I also find this to be very true. As Safety Officer at our club, I give most of the orientations. About half have a CHL. Maybe 10% of those carry on a regular basis. I have trained 8 in our church that I can count. I know of at least 2 more that have a CHL. 4 carry on a regular basis.
As you said, the rest dont even have a servicable holster.
