If you're close enough to use a pistol bayonet, you're too close.

That's the dumbest thing I have a seen in a long time.

I can see why those guys make laser sights. The way he jerks the trigger on that pistol you would think he has never had formal pistol shooting training.

I know a knife maker that makes (amazing!) modern versions of this...completely from scratch. He calls them a cut-n-shoot. Even the lockworks are made by hand/hammer/sweat. Of course they are works of functional art that go for the mid 5 figures...

On a muzzleloader it makes a lot more sense because in a serious fight you get one shot and then it's hand to hand. On a modern autoloader (or even revolver) it doesn't seem really useful to me.
