I long to buy booze, cigarettes and ammunition from the same drive thru and use it all up before I get home.

Over by me we've got a little strip mall. The stores are in the following order, from left to right: Bank, Gun Store, Liquor Store.
I love Texas

Or a Walmart in Louisiana...
For those that don't frequent Louisiana, you can buy liquor at the same places we can only buy beer at in Texas, ie, grocery stores, gas stations, walmarts, etc. So in a walmart there you can bank, buy a gun, and a bottle of the hard stuff. Oh, and you can OC while you're doing it, and they have gambling there which is why I have to travel 8 hours to see my grandkid since his father is a thoroughbred trainer

.
As far as freedoms are concerned, Texas has a way to go. I can guess as to why, but I won't go there on this forum.

This most definitely affects Texans.
Not only does it set precedent in other states, but theres a trickle effect for all states.

It didn't set any legal precedent. It was a ruling by a trial judge, not a court of appeal.

So the trial judge made a ruling.
If some other cops in that jurisdiction detain someone for open carry anyway, what are the chances that they - the cops, that is - will be personally fined or (snicker) jailed?
Somewhere down around "zero" I'd say . . .
