Due to all previous discussions on this matter I had concluded that if there were a school field trip to the zoo that it was okay for the entire zoo to be posted and I could not carry there that day. However, I'm not sure that is a reasonable conclusion now, unless the entire zoo was closed to the general public and only those participating in the school event were allowed in. If the zoo was still open to the public and I am not participating, in any way, in the school's event then I should be allowed to carry in the zoo. Same thing with the mall. If I'm there in the mall and as I'm walking around I decide to stop to listen to local school's choir singing Christmas carols for a few minutes and then continue on my way I would think I would be okay. It might be different if I were to sit down in the audience as it would be much more difficult to explain that I was just passing by. And being in a public place without any sort of controlled access and probably not a 30.06 posting would make it even easier to defend IF for some reason concealed became unconcealed.
