Guys,

Isn't that crazy? I did lot's of Internet research before I bought the gun and I only found 4 models of the Taurus 94 2" anywhere including the Taurus official website; Ultralight blue; Ultralight stainless, blue, stainless. This model has a gold trigger and hammer, so I Googled every word I could think of including, "gold trigger taurus 94 at Cabela's" and there is NOTHING on the Internet about a gold triggered Taurus 94 2". Did some other company take it apart and customize it with a gold trigger exclusively for Cabela's customers?? How complicated can a .22 snubby be, Taurus and Rossi have a reasonably good reputation for their .38 snubbys.

if the place has any sense of customer service , they should at very least give store credit

:iagree: You bought this little gem at Cabela's? I wouldn't think that a reputable store such as Cabela's would sell a gun such as like this as new. They obviously sold you a defective and/or used gun. If I were Taurus and you to sent in the pieces of the gun, I wouldn't honor the warranty.

Guys,

It turns out you guys were dead on. Cabela's gave me a new gun with no hassles, one that is in one piece no less. The rear sight seems very tight too. I guess I heard them say too many times that all sales are final no matter what. I'll certainly listen to you guys next time. I appreciate the support and input.

Oh yea, I went in and calmly stated my case expecting a huge fight. I hated telling the guy the story, because up until now I didn't believe that a new revolver could just fall apart like that. I never even asked for a replacement, I simply said, "I understand the "sales being final" policy, but this gun was dangerously defective before I left the store, and I think that I should get consideration beyond your normal policy."

I expected them to ship the gun in for repair while I waited months for its return, and I was prepared with a mean little letter to send along to Taurus demanding a replacement instead of a repair; and I had math figures that justified my gas expenses for 2 round trips, and I was going to DEMAND a $20 gift card from Cabela's for my trouble.
