[quote="seamusTX"]I disagree. There has been no new federal restriction since 1993. The AWB expired, and several new pro-RKBA laws passed.

I totally agree. Despite all the fears that Obama would revise the AWB, and even come up with a few of his own, nothing has happened and likely nothing will. He and his chums on the left know full well which direction the tides have and are turning. Not long ago, a Virginia Tech type shooting would have resulted in all kinds of new laws and restrictions; this time it almost resulted in a loosening of campus carry laws.

Embalm Oh!

I think enough of the population is getting the message that guns don't kill unless they're in the hands of criminals, and "gun control" doesn't work.

:iagree: Gun control was a great experiment that has failed miserably, and more and more of the general population is learning that. We are now beginning to see articles being published by the news media stating that.

Man we've come a long way from driving to school with our shotguns in the back window, so that we could go nab a dove or two after class. Or for that matter, the assistant principle lending us his Mauser and P-08, not to mention his Gestapo regalia for the school's production of "The Diary of Ann Frank".

That was a dangerous time with all of those weapons around, I can recall at least...lemme see...exactly ZERO school shootings then.

Who is going to shoot up a school where the seniors have shotguns in their truck and the principal has a Mauser? Nah, I think I would go to one of those "gun free zones". You wouldn't think is would take a genius to see the error in logic regarding gun free school zones. I mean it looks great on paper, but....

In my "Gun Free" High school, one of the students accidently shot himself in the face with a .32 while showing it off to one of his buddies in the bathroom. Some BG's have no common sense, lets point a loaded .32 at my head to show off for my accomplice  and then run down the halls spurting blood all over everything. Turned out to be a fun day for me, got to spend all day in Welding Shop cause they had us locked down. Mind you this is a tight enough lock down that the accomplice could escape with said .32 and dump it off campus.
