This type of crime can happen anywhere, but for some reason Fort Bend County seems to get more than it's share. Maybe it just seems that way. A while back there was a rash of similar robberies in Sugar Land, where people would be attacked in their driveways, garages, and sometimes forced into their homes. And living in a 'nice' area means nothing other than you're a more attractive target because you have nice stuff and money to steal.

I am not trying to start and arguement on the economy and crime theory, but the same guys robbing and murdering people are the same people when the unemployement was at 4.9% as they are at 10.2%. Government is still sending them the same amount of our money. Nothing has changed for them.
They are recession proof!
Kid is lucky they didnt kill him. Glad he got the upper hand.

Greg you are right on the Sugarland/Missouri City area. I here more crap coming out of that area than any of the other suburbs. A lady a few years back in some very expensive homes had to barracade her door from two guys trying to kick it in in broad daylight in Sugarland.

The only thing that bothers me with this is the tax bill for trying to save this guy so the county can invest more money to try him. Then pay for his attendance at the TDC finishing school of crime, when he graduates he will have a better understanding of what he and his buddy did wrong for the next time.
5thGen,
You don't even want to know what his Life Flight bill is going to be, let alone the ICU bill! Most people would be dumbfounded when they found out how much of our tax dollars are going to have to go towards paying for this guys medical bills.

I think they're getting more stupid, too. To allow someone into an environment that they know better than you was a tactical error on the part of the bad guys.

He was taken by Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital
This is the only bad immediate outcome (aside from the bloodstained carpet the homeowners will have to clean up) . . . the taxpayers are out thousands of dollars for transport of the BG.
And as for it happening in a "good" neighborhood . . . even in the best areas, the BGs are seldom more than a half-hour car trip away.
