Oh yes, I need to find a gun shop that does layaway. Or maybe it's better that I don't. But then again, I'm probably spending too much money on food anyways.

Well I happen to know an STI master dealer who always seems to have Spartans in stock. In fact you probably already know him.

I imagine I do.

CompVest is responsible for my desire for the Spartan. She let me hold and pet it at the gun show at the GRB.

Well being the overly competitive kinda guy I am, next time you're gonna shoot tts, send me a pm and I'll bring my Spartan and let you shoot the match with it.

Hmmm...I kind of like that line of thought actually.

There is a cure for gun Maleria but it is far worse than the disease, though. You have to become a liberal.

Tlynn, I feel your pain.
I think I bought a .22 rifle around 1980.
In 1995 I went to a gun show and bought a Ruger P89DC handgun.
10 years later, after walking through a dark parking lot in a bad part of town, I decided I needed a CHL.
So of course I needed a carry gun, the Ruger was too big.
I had to try two or three before I settled on a P3AT.
Then I found an interest in spanish semi-autos, and those multiplied.
About this time my 401K was shrinking, I could see inflation looming, but darned if those guns weren't worth more than when i bought them.
Now I'm at several dozen, with a "short list" of at least a dozen.
And I keep running across good deals on firearms that weren't on my list. Sunday a Ruger Old Army followed me home from Market Hall.
So, now the safe is full, the cabinet is full. I need a bigger safe, but to get one I'll need a bigger house.
sigh.

TLynn, I have good news for you. After years of research, and careful evaluation there actually
IS a cure for your fever.
It's roots are grounded in holistic meditation, followed by hours of introspective consideration. And it's really easy to do......
Feed The Fever!
Kinda like "feed a fever, starve a cold".
That's the only cure that worked for me.
GREAT gun wish list by the way!

Thank You!
I think I agree with you about feeding the fever...BUT, now I have another problem...making a decision on which one to get first!

Dear Santa,
I've been very good this year. (Okay, I've been pretty good this year.)
I want
Springfield M1A (Not sure which one, but wouldn't complain if any of them showed up under the tree.)
Scattergun Technologies shotgun (Haven't decided if I want the "Standard" with more bells and whistles or the "Border Patrol" which has less doo-dads and all business.)
Smith & Wesson 340PD (A Crimson Trace Lasergrip to go with it would be nice.)
Smith & Wesson 610 (4" please)
Kimber Stainless Raptor (If you can't find that exact model, I'd "settle" for almost any Les Baer.)
Several Kimber rifles (I have my favorites but would take any. I lean towards .22-250, .25-06, and .308 or .30-06 for calibers.)
Leupold FX-3 25x40 for my .22 silhouette rifle
New holsters for my 1911 are always appreciated.
Ammunition welcome. (Need .22LR, .22 Magnum, .223 Rem, .40S&W, and .45ACP. 12ga shotgun shells wouldn't go to waste either.)

OK, just since everyone is posting their wish list, I will quote a saying my daughter had on a shirt:
'Dear Santa,
I want it ALL!!'
