Many products.
Permatex® Anti-Seize Lubricant is a heavy duty, highViscosity, poise
temperature lubricant that prevents galling, seizing and
corrosion during assembly and assures easier disassembly.
Also reduces wear in heavy pressure applications. The
product contains a refined blend of
aluminum, copper and
graphite lubricants that can be used on slow moving parts.
Meets or exceed the requirements of Military Specification Mil-
A-907E.
Permatex 81946 Ultra Slick Multipurpose Synthetic Lubricant with PTFE, 3 oz Tube
is clear and has Their breed of Teflon in it. I've had a tube for about 5 years, and am about half way through it. It is clear to translucent, does not stain fabric, etc. Very good stuff.
Liquid Wrench High Performance Dry Lubricant 11oz. is a spray on dry lube I am now using that has their proprietary ceramic/teflon in it. A dry lube is a must out in the dusty west. This stuff is great. Makes my magazines drop quickly.
You can buy all three at O'Reilly, Auto Zone, etc.

Thanks I am familure with anti-sieze, we use it on aircraft spark plugs.
I found Lubriplate that the article in the link I posted at the beginning of this thread at Falcon Crest Aviation supply on the south side of Houston Hobby Airport. This is the NLGI. 1 the article referanced as an alternative, although a little thicker. It comes in 14 oz can for 14 dollars. No 130- AA.
I will give it a try

Good post and link.

This link needs to go in this thread,

and Gun Cleaning Oil"
(ATF and Synthethic Motor Oil)

I was lucky enough to take a class from Paul Howe at
http://www.combatshootingandtactics.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; last year and part of his course focused on his cleaning and maintenance regime.
In short, after cleaning the rifle (AR-15) he proceeded to use a shave brush to apply an insane amount of lithium grease in just about every part of the inside of the rifle. His philosophy is that whatever excess you have will end of coming out of the rifle on its own.
Like Larry Vickers says:
"You can run a gun dirty and wet, but not dirty and dry."
