Well if you are going to rule out shooter error completely, you may never be satisfied or find the answer. I still suggest you find a highly experienced shooter and let him/her try it - or at least watch you. I have seen exactly what you are describing more times than I can count in 50 years of shooting.

The 22, 380 and 45 all have one thing in common compared to a 9mm. (This is a 9mm correct?) They are all three low velocity. The higher the velocity of the projectile, the more distinct the twisting effect of the gun in recoil. Equal and opposite reaction to the bullet's friction in passing through the rifling is the cause. The twisting begins before the bullet leaves the barrel and is transfered to your hand and body and can affect POI. The lighter the gun, the more pronounced the effect. Hence the need for a very firm grip.

Hmm, but rested on a block and missing the entire paper? A person would have to have a serious eye condition to manage that with an effective gun. Rested on a block, any non-blind individual would be able to hit the paper somewhere, even at 15 yards with an effective gun. This is a gun that has a light SA trigger (that's why I bought it); at 7 yards, any beginner would be able to pepper little holes around the bull's eye with the horrific DA pull of my Taurus revolver.

I ain't arguing my skills, I'm arguing that the sense of sight of any first time shooter would enable them to hit something in the course of running 200 rounds through the gun. I posted this hoping that someone would know of an adjustment that could be made to the gun, but apparently the sights are fixed. Like I said-She's on a brown truck headed for Colorado.

Well, I am glad you made up your mind on it and took some action. Hopefully you will get it back soon and everything will be fixed.

And whether or not it comes back, the invitation to go to the range with me in January stands. Maybe we should try for another Austin group get together. Add in the San Antonio facts and we should get a good group. I think I will try another thread and start that.
