Next time you go to the movies, sit in the balcony and I'll sit downstairs. I could use free ammo "raining from heaven"

I saw that happen during an IDPA match once. The poor guy was so embarrassed that we didn't see him again for months.
Posing a question is the extra one or two rounds worth the risk?

It's impact force that fires primers not sharpness. I don't think dropping a round on the primer will cause it to fire and if even if it did the result wouldn't be life threatening. Smokeless powder needs to be confined to work properly.
As a kid, my brother and I used to stick .22 rounds into the dirt and shoot them with our BB guns.

They made a nice loud pop great fun, until one of the cases hit me just above my eye.

We decided to use the .22 shells for their intended purposes after that.

We were dumb but not stupid.

So I was at the gas station today and when I got out to pump gas I look down and see a pearce grip extension and 10 .40 S&w rounds on the ground next to the pump. I immediately thought of this post. However a couple things concerned me about finding this. The first, why would this unknown person leave all of this on the ground and drive off ( It's not like you wouldn't notice it happened ). The second, the rounds were cheap FMJs. Although it concerned me I still thought it was a bit on the funny side.

Had an older lady student on the firing line several years back doing CHL "Demonstration of Proficiency" using her brother's Sig. After the first shot of one of the first drills, the base plate left the mag and it spewed the spring and remaining cartridges everywhere. So the problem is certainly not exclusive to the Glocks.

Don't ever drop a loaded magazine for a Colt 9mm SMG.
Don't Ask Me How I Know This.
