Ted's not perfect, but I have tremendous respect for anyone in the public eye who says what they're thinking with no editing. I believe Ted really says what he thinks. And nearly every bit of it I agree with.

I frequently say what I think, but it usually gets me in trouble with my wife.

And sometimes, it gets me in trouble with a moderator. :biggrinjester:

Is he still adopting 16 year olds so he can sleep with them?
Never heard this one. Do Tell!
From Wikipedia:
In 1978, Nugent began an infamous relationship with a seventeen year old Hawaii native named Pele Massa. Due to the shocking twenty year age difference between him and Massa, Nugent could not marry the young woman; so he instead asked Pele's parents if he could be her legal guardian. Owing to Ted's unwillingness to stay faithful, their relationship ended soon afterward[1]. His first wife was Sandra Jezowski, to whom he was married in 1970 and divorced in 1976.[12] Sandra died in a car crash in 1982.[12]
How accurate that is - heck, it's Wikipedia, hence not the most reliable source of facts.
Although I am in no way condoning a relationship with a minor. In 1978, Uncle Ted was 30 (born in December of 1948) so the age difference between them was 13 years rather than a "shocking twenty"." You are so right about Wikipedia! What's really sad is that some people think because its printed on the Internet, it's fact. :nono:

I also though that Wikipedia was fact until I found out what it is. A collaboration of individuals opinions supposedly backed by factual references. I also learned its a liberal socialist media outlet.

Let's play a bit. Assuming the relationship with the Polynesian girl was accurate (and distasteful on the face of it), I would be willing to chalk that up to immaturity in the midst of the rock and roll culture...sobriety not withstanding. Evidently, you can run a male escort service out of your apartment and still remain in the senate.

Sobriety, yes I absolutely believe it. He was raised 7th Day Adventist (IIRC) and thus had the healthy diet and intoxicant prohibitions "hard wired". Weird Al is another one, I know where he goes (or went) to church. The point being is you can create a marketable "crazy" image without ever touching a drop of alcohol or a gram of anything else.

I spent the first half of my life as an atheist and have committed some atrocious sins, but that was a different person. I think we could allow for maturation and conviction of his ideals at this stage in his life.

No, we can't.

?

I'm not sure what you are saying. However let me clarify. I am not a moral relativist in any stretch of imagination. What I am saying is, not knowing his spiritual condition, his behavior and positions demonstrate a clear and non-compromising direction. Though there are some, few politicians should be looked to as moral standards. What I look for in an elected representative is clarity and unwavering focus on ideals generally in alignment with mine. So far not doing too good.

This is all moot though, I doubt he would run and if he did I'm sure that album cover and everything else the "machine" could do to destroy him would come into play.

I assume this is a joke.

I've spent the majority of my life as an atheist and have NOT committed atrocious sins btw

Its not a joke. Ted Nugent is a crazy foam at the mouth nutjob who made some sort of decent albums a few years back. I'd no sooner think upon his comments then I would Madonna or some half coked up actress. He's worse as he gives normal average joe hunters and conservatives a bad name.

Oh you are talking about Nugent, I thought you were talking about Dragon Fighter.
I like Nugent, but I think that yes, he can push it too far for some, but then again why are we trying to hide our true passions?

We're not I don't think. He just annoys me, like most of the entertainment industry. (to them) If you're not singing, acting, whatever then shut up. I don't want to hear your opinions on anything except your vocation. Generally entertainers are unqualified to speak on anything else.

I spent the weekend with him and Gov. Perry when I worked for Clay Walker. They were all turkey hunting... I really enjoyed his stories and he is a really Kool Kat.

i worked in the entertainment industry for 8 years, I find your comment very inaccurate... how many "famous" people do you know personally?
