I go to the range Weekly, never had a problem with the mags I use.
But I just cant comfortably carry another mag on my body.
I keep 2 in the car.

You can use a PDA holster, like this CaseLogic one that quite nicely holds two mags back to back;

But to be honest, the more I carry, the more I think 99.9% of people are in condition white and wouldn't notice if you had your gun, BUG and spare mags balanced on your head, so I generally use the Safariland steel mag holders;

Do always carry a spare mag though - not for the rounds but for the quick remedy of a mag-related failure mode.

I do the same thing. 10 + 1 in the gun and 2 loaded mags in the door pocket.

IMHO if you can carry your gun on you, it's
really no big deal (size or weightwise) to carry
both of your spare mags ON BODY.

Single stack 1911 mag sits nice and snug in my back left pocket. I push it to the left a bit so I don't sit on it.

I would feel naked without a spare mag. Right now I carry it in the front left pocket without a problem , but with pocket space at a premium I'll probably be ordering one of these soon to match my Don Hume OWB holster.

I carry a spare magazine in a magazine holder OWB on the opposite side of my carry position with absolutely no problem.

I don't carry a BUG, but a spare magazine is not a burden.

At one time, I carried a powerful, small flashlight and other safety items, but after awhile found it all too much. Paring down to a folding knife, spare mag and pistol is about all I care to carry along with necessary wallet, CHL, DL, etc. I try not to carry anything beyond this including coins.

I find that having the magazines on the opposite side of my belt helps to balance the load and keep my belt from digging into my hipbone. It also makes my shirt hang more symmetrically.

I don't carry a semi-auto without spare mags. As noted, it's the most likely part to fail (and we know what Murphy says about when it will fail!)

A snub revolver with 5 rounds of .38, yeah, I'll carry without reloads, because I know those five will go bang 100% of the time.

I always wear 5.11 cargo pants. They have a magazine pocket with holds a spare magazine very comfortably and discreetly. I am lucky to have a job where cargo pants and jeans are the norm, so I get no odd looks.

See I have their Jeans and their Magazine Holder is a joke, How am I supposed to get to the inside of my pants without taking my belt and pants offs.
I hope version 2 of the jeans will be better.
THe Cargo pants are nice though, just not my style
