We should also point out the Kahr minis and Walther PPS are pretty much the same size as a Bersa. I've not shot a Kahr, but I have shot a friend's Walther PPS and man it spoke to me. It was a natural "point and shoot" dead center accurate with no noticeable recoil and brilliant sights for someone with bad vision.
I know 380 ammo is short in some places. But it is available, and at reasonable prices, unless you're lazy or lacking resources to find it. The LCP, P3AT, and Micro Eagle 380's are all far smaller than the Bersa 380. There's no way possible to cram a 9mm round in something that small and concealable. Besides, I'm getting tired of the same old tired garbage about the 380ACP being a "worthless, weak" round. It's actually gotten worse than all of the "45ACP or nothing" comments all the time. It just struck a nerve with me today, and amazingly, I've yet to find a volunteer to back up their opinion....

Same here. Look at the ballistic gelatin tests done with a good quality .380 JHP.

While I'll admit a .40 or .45 would be my first choice for stopping power , the modern advances in .380 ammunition make it more than capable of getting the job done....IMO

So,I take it you're the first volunteer to take 6 of those "wimpy little rounds" to center mass to prove your "opinion"?

There's nothing wrong with a good .380 round. With the advent of the modern CCW demand, there are plenty or reputable choices of .380 cartridge.

Just as long as you're competent with, and confident in, your firearm. One you can practice, train, and conceal. Finding the firearm to meet requirements for you and your daily life is a deeply personal decision.

Nothing wrong with a good .380.

You won't get dispersions on .380s from me. They are not the most powerful round, but neither is anything short of a 20MM cannon. I do believe there was a joke thread abouts discussing the humorous putdowns of every major caliber invented (.45ACP-good if you're old and like Model Ts). Wish I could find it.
I am still finding .380s relatively rare in comparison to other calibers, whereas .22LRs, 9MM and .45ACp seem to have returned to near pre Obama Bullet Bubble levels. In time, in time. Online sites still have them in backlog delays or very pricey in comparison. Thats my only beef.

Its the gun, practice, and what your needs are, not the caliber.

Basically that was my point, I cant find the ammo, but I am up to my buns in 9mm.
Even a .22 can kill a bear.
