The worst words to hear at the range, IMHO, would be, "Sorry folks, Range is closed for the day".

That's kind of what my last session at the range was. There was a group of 3 or 4 shooting in the lane to my right. I couldn't see the shooter because of the lane divider, but his first shot was a BOOM and lots of smoke. I jumped and stepped back to see what happened. Just a flint-lock black powder rifle.

The worst words I've heard at the range was during my CHL qualification. Our magazine was supposed to have only 4 rounds in it. The guy next to me had loaded it full, when the instructor told him he only needed to have 4 the guy looked at him and asked "well how do I get them back out?" It was then that I realized I standing next to an idiot with a gun. And to finish things off there were a few extra bullet holes that didn't match my caliber on my target when were finished. :headscratch

You get his wallet, I'll get his guns.

I don't know about you, but when I got done with my qualification, I had a giant hole in the center of my target. No way to score that, so they assumed that you always hit, but deducted points for what was around in the lower point regions. In mine, I had 1 hole outside because I got a little jump on my second or third shot.

I'm guessing they counted off on your score for his bad aim? I know its pass or fail, but to me it's a pride thing :)
