To everyone thank you for the good wishes ill let her know everyone is rooting for her. The class is at my fathers church he is the pastor there and they are also doing a class that i think is called "refuse to be a victim" and i think it's a NRA class. Our church is pretty open about guns, i think all the deacons who dont have their chl are getting it and the head music minister is getting his also. I woiuld hate to walk in to that church with bad intention's when all this is overwith.

CONGRATS!
I'm curious which church in the Spring area is hosting CHL classes. You can PM me if you like. My wife is intending to do the same sometime this spring. She's a girl scout troop leader, and she's in the throws of cookie booth season and wants to wait until after the season ends. Then on the other hand, she wishes she already had her license to carry at some of the cookie booth locations where she and the troop will be. I have agreed to help out when I can. So, if you're in Spring and are buying GS cookies at Kroger, HEB, Walmart etc. and there's an overweight guy with a close-cut beard there, it might be me.
My wife and I are also very active in our neighborhood...the wife is on the HOA board and I'm a co-chairman for the neighborhood watch. Lately, several ladies in the neighborhood have mentioned that they need to buy a pistol and get their CHL license. I always tell them that I will answer any questions that they have when they are ready to buy a gun or start the CHL process...even suggesting shooting ranges and classes in the area. Our neighborhood is fairly safe, and they want to keep it that way.

Congrats. Now I need to get my wife convinced.
