I'll be at ARC this afternoon for the Range Orientation class, though I'm sure the IDPA match will be done by then.

AFTER ACTION REPORT

davidtx made it out to the IDPA match this morning. In case you haven't figured it our, David is a nice guy. He is also a good shot. It is a real treat on those occasions when we get to match a real person with a face to the individual only known by comments on the internet.

I think we got him hooked on IDPA shooting.

Fortunately, the rain held off long enough for us to finish.

Good day at the range.

I hope everyone else is feeling better soon and can join us some day.

Nice to meet you David.

Good to meet you too, Carl. Thanks for all the help and the kind words. Yeah, I think I'm hooked. I'm going to have to get that Lock-n-Load cranking soon.

If any of you guys and gals haven't tried IDPA yet, I strongly recommend it. After just one match, I already feel more comfortable with my gun. I was pretty nervous before we started, but everybody was very helpful and patient.

Hi Ryan - now I've got another face matched with a forum handle. It was a great day - even if we did get a little wet stuff towards the end.

Where's tomorrow's meet? :biggrinjester:

I'll second that.

First you'll want more magazines, then updated equipment (better sights, holster....) then you'll need to take up reloading if you haven't already started....

but its an awful lot of fun.

Yeah - I've been reading the Lyman manual tonight while occasionally paying attention to the Academy Awards.
