I really like this idea, might have to try that one next time. I'll give it a test drive at home first though.

It can be done, though it takes some practice to consistently avoid pinching.

As for showing, anybody looking there at that time is going to have some explaining to do if they go tattling about your failure to conceal. Reasonable expectation of privacy is pretty likely to be upheld in front of the urinal as it would be in a stall, so short of inviting someone to look or turning around before you zip, I doubt they could make intentional failure to conceal stick.

I had my Kimber in an OWB holster, so I just rebuckled the belt to the last hole and kept it around my knees. The pistol and spare magazine weren't visible and I was able to do my business without having to unholster.

When you sit down, position the side of the pants, holster, belt and gun so they sit on your knee. This keeps the gun in the holster, readily accessible and not visible under the stall wall. You may have to rotate the pants a bit to make it work. Fastening the belt may help when you have to stand up and both hands are occupied.

Practice this at home.

In reference to the Glock inquiry, being an occasional Glock carrier and Glock clone carrier, I would NEVER hang my Glock or Taurus 709 slim on a hook by the trigger guard. I would be afraid that an AD would be an all together too real possibility. If I'm carrying IWB, I (A.) flip my gun down into the pants before dropping them all the way and wrap the gun up with the back of the pants, (B.) if I'm wearing a coat, unholster and slip the gun into a coat pocket, hanging it on the door if there is opportunity or (C.) I slip the gun into my pants pocket, especially if I'm wearing cargo shorts in the summer time. I never unholster my gun and set it anywhere. I would hate for it to hit the floor and I get made through sight or AD or worse, forget it there and it not be there when I go looking for it. I usually pocket carry a Ruger LCP, so no worries there, but on the last scenario, I also carry in a smart carry, more frequently as of late, and I can just pull it up around my chest, and go about my business. I've just found out that the Smart Carry works far better for a slimmer person now that I've shed a few pounds.

Some of our plainclothes officers have told me they like to do rest in the underwear like some have mentioned. This seems to make the most sense to me. I would not leave it in a holster, even with retention because the belt is not fastened.

I talked with a city cop yesterday, and he said he either goes home to do a numero dos, goes back to car and leaves the gun there, or lays it on back of toliet. None of those sound always practical, and the last would be a sure no-go. Too much potential for forgetting it.

I avoid doing any serious business in public restrooms for lots of reasons. I've got a lot of weight on my pants with a G22, G23, 2 mags, flashlight and a couple of knives so the first problem I have is NOT letting them drop to the floor when I unbuckle the belt.

Very often the stainless paper holder has a flat top that can act as a shelf. In the handicap stall, it's sometimes possible to wedge the handgun between the rail and wall. My preference is to leave one in the holster and the other in my drawers. Personally, I can't imagine forgetting one.

Ditto for IWB, gun placed in the underwear for OWB, and if I'm wearing the shoulder rig nothing needs to be done

I am surprised that certain members have not taken umbrage at this rather inane and recurring subject...or maybe, it's just me? It seems to me that if one can not figure out how to go to the restroom with one's CC, one should either:

A. not carry a CW,
B. take the CW to one's vehicle; or,
C. not go to the restroom.

Where have I gone wrong?
