Only bought one firearm at Bass Pro. They DID NOT call. YMMV

Ditto - does not bother me at all. Still have to fill out the form, but I walk out with my purchase regardless.

Not so easy for some of us. I have a perfectly clean record but some jerk in NJ has the same name as me (first, middle initial, and last) and was born on the same day as I was. Of course this guy can not legally purchase a firearm. So for me a NICS call can be unpleasent - I have been told by an agent looking at the two profiles that it is pretty easy to see that we are not the same person. But if the agent that answers the phone is lazy (doesn't check the SS# or ask for a physical description) or is just having a bad day, I don't walk away with my purchase. Perhaps now that I have a CHL NICS call would not be an issue but I don't know if they can see that or not.
