It sounds like the real problem is the relationship, not the $30 expense. Since I'm not a marriage counselor, and I wouldn't give advice over the internet (and without knowing both parties) if I was, I'll simply suggest you work on the underlying relationship issues instead of focusing on the symptoms.

I have the 29 round (can get 30 in it) equivalent for my Glock 27. When the thing is full, it gives you a lot more weight hanging down and makes the gun more stable and controllable ... that means safer to shoot ... she is okay with safety, isn't she?

You left out INVESTING

Back in the 1990s you could buy an SKS for $89.00 and put it in a folding stock; after Clinton passed his BANS; they sold in that "PRE_BAN" condition (detachable 40 round mags and folding stocks) for much more ... same with Hi-Capacity magazines.

I sold almost every gun I owned for at LEAST 4 to 10 times what I paid for them. minimum 400% return on Investment ROI (Also donated to a Police Dept)

Pre-Ban magazines are STILL selling for more than they are priced NEW in the States which only allow 10 round mags; unless they were manufactured PRE-BAN for that State .

Try "Honey, with this 33 round mag I won't have to spend as much time reloading at the range. I can get in my practice quicker and then get home to finish my Honey Do's!"

What would be really neat is a belt fed Glock!

Of course, the belt would have adjustable links so that it could fit all sizes. The belt would not only hold many cartridges but it would also serve to carry the Glock around one's waist thereby eliminating the need for a holster. Once the CH licensee is approached in the parking lot, Sunday School, MIL's house or wherever, the licensee could release the QD hitch on the belt and lay down a veritable barrage on the BG, all of the BG's buddies and the surrounding countryside.

Larger CH licensees would have more firepower than the smaller licensee; but what the hey, life is not fair.

Use the normal Glock 26 magazine. Size doesn't matter.

Lets turn this around: Hubs went to get a battery powered hammer (yawn) that also came with a drill (which he has many of) but the batteries are interchangeable (another yawn). Is only going to cost $90.00 bucks he tells me. I say okay, go for it. He comes home I am looking at sales receipt from Sears $310.00 ??? I ask the stupid question: what happened to it only costing $90.00? Reply: That was at home depot and I didn't like that one so went to Sears. I say okay, but that means I get to buy another gun, right? Reply: Yes dear.

First:
I always try to shoot several rounds (200-300) to break my pistol in and see how it works and shoots. A 33 round magazine sure makes this easier if you have 2 or 3 of them. They are not that hard to load.
Second:
The next time you are at the range and the guy next to you shows you his XDm and tells you it holds 20 rounds, pull out your Glock with the 33 rounder and show him yours!

There are many justifications that can be made. It really depends on how extreme you want to get.

Here is one real possibility. A major storm or act of terrorism hits Texas and we loose power and communications. (think of Katrina in New Orleans) You are one of the smart ones that planned ahead and have plenty of food, water, a generator and lots of fuel. During times like these civil order will begin to break down. When those without see that you have what they want you may be forced to defend yourself from looters or worse.

During IKE there was a rash of generator thefts and home burglaries. This was a big storm, but we were back to normal in a few weeks for the most part and you could get fuel within days. If this was not the case I would venture to bet that we would see a breakdown in the civility of our population. This is where having one or more 33 round mags could give you a leg up in defense. When others are out of bullets you have plenty more to go. This same argument can be made for keeping plenty of ammunition, gas, food and other supplies on hand.

I got one in the mail as we speak, but I ordered 2 more 10 rounders, because I can see a use for those
