Para makes a quality product, but if money were no object STI would be my first choice. I would not hesitate to carry a Para, though.

Had the opportunity to shot a brand new out of the box Para today. It ran like a champ not one hiccup. All I did was put a couple of drops of oil on it. However, when compared to the STI it feels like a unshaped lump of steel. It didn't have any touch appeal or ergonomics to speak of. The trigger was just okay not nearly as light a smooth as an STI.

After shooting a double stack Para I wouldn't NOT own one but I wouldn't buy it either.
