I've noticed for some reason that mine is less obvious when I clip my cell phone in my right front pocket below the gun. I guess it just makes it look like the bulge has something to do with the phone. Dark colors and Hawaiian shirts are best.

Same here. I've only noticed a couple of IWB clips in the last year or so, and even when I did-it was still very difficult to make out the gun/holster.AndyC wrote:
Me, I'm more of the quiet, watcher-type of person so I notice small things quite readily on other people - especially those plastic IWB clips.

Re: This may be controversial
A couple of weeks ago I went with family in tow to a local Mexican Restaurant. We got a large table that was located pretty much in the middle of the room. After about 20 minutes, I reached to check my shirt for concealment and OMG!! My shirt had gotten caught on top of the Glock 19 handle! It was fully exposed...for at least 20 minutes. IDIOT!! I carefully covered it up and thought I was the stupidest person in the world!
I wondered about the defense of Accidental un-concealment etc. It was certainly an accident but for heavens sake...FULLY EXPOSED!?!
No one said anything and likely didn't notice. My concealment efforts have been stepped up for sure.

A few of my thoughts:
1. I am paranoid of printing and anyone discovering that I am carrying due to the social circles that I run in. Many of them are not pro-gun. If you are similarly situated a J frame.38 or other pocket-able subcompact in a service cartridge might be a great purchase.
2. Regardless of the gun you carry, or how you carry it, do not under any circumstances adjust it, pat it, use your arm to guard it, or otherwise make movements or alter your normal gait. This is the fastest way to give yourself away. Most people are oblivious to what is on your belt line. Most people are used to bumps on peoples belt lines due to cell phones and blackberries anyways.
3. If you insist on carrying a big firearm. Use a good cover garment and carry with the confidence that most people are absolutely oblivious. Also make sure that you have a good holster and a proper gun belt.

Jframe38 first off welcome! I meen no disrespect but for your first post I think its a little strong. Were all grown adults here and pretty good at knowing are suroundings. I would never tell the people in hear to never do this or dont do that better off to just give a different option. I pat my guns all the time and if I need to adjust I do. Sure im not going to be obvious about it but def dont have a fear to do it. I carry a .380 as a BUG and def insist on carrying my full size 45 because I know its a better stopper then my .380 ever could be. Ive been carrying for a while. Ive learned to relax. Just a heads up brother take care Keith.
