Well, I went yesterday too. Only found one dealer with the Kimber I wanted and he wasn't dealing. He already had it at $100.00 more than I have seen it on the internet at dealer websites. Didn't sell my Colt either. So it will be hitting this site sometime next week. Oh well, it was fun just going to a show. First one I've been to in years.

I drove by Sunday and wanted to stop by but the (new) wife said no. She wouldn't have let me buy anything anyhow! :nono:

I've been looking for a Kel Tec Sub 2000 in 9mm that would accept Glock 19 mags, found it at AJC Saturday for $299, it's the new model that will accept all Glock 9mm mags. Other than that, the crowd was light, there was no marathon or solar car race or concert or bike race or cheerleader tryouts or soccer convention or etc... that took all the parking and closed all the streets around GRB :hurry: .

One thing I did notice about GRB is the show was moved down to a different hall than where they usually have it. Not a biggy but I found myself standing in line for the sports memorabilia (had to spell check that word) show until some guy saw me with my Glock case and said hey the gun show is at the other end. He was discrete and polite though.

Also I don't know if anyone else has this problem but I just get the feeling from I would say 95% of the vendors working the show that they are not helpful, unfriendly, and would rather just do buisness without speaking to you at all if that were possible. For example I was looking for a particular accessory for one of my guns and because I did not use the exact terminology the guy corrected me like a 5th grade in class and looked at me like I was an idiot. Excuse me master gunsmith please forgive my ignorance and I shall bow down to your all knowing intelligence of all things firearms. :mad5

Sorry for the rant I needed to get that off my chest.

I did see quite a few lining up in the Tristar line with gun cases. I think a condescending attitude to correct you was wrong and a reason to move on the next table. You can subtly correct someone by simply using the right term during the conversation or just let it go and go for the sale. I did notice that Ak style rifles have dropped ($50ish on the Ak47 clones and $200 for Dragunov clones) grrrrr. Just bought both couple months ago.

Didn't see the mythical XDm 45 though.
I did. AJC or one of the others up front had it for $600 or so. Feels OK but at 150% the price of the XD9 from the same dealer, I wasn't even tempted.
That's a pretty normal price difference for just a regular XD-9 vs. XD-45, let alone an XDm-45.

I encourage you to shop around and not pay MSRP. At this show there were at least three dealers selling the XD9 priced $400-$425 and at least two dealers with the regular XD45 priced $450-$475. Those are cash prices but listed cash prices.

Just curious if anyone knows, can you carry in these shows?

I see some people open carry at the shows and others carry pistol cases that I presume have a handgun concealed inside.

There is an inconsistently enforced rule (policy, not law) against loaded firearms at the shows.

When you arrive at the show there are a couple of off duty LEOs checking all weapons to make sure they are unloaded. They put a zip tie through the breach and out the barrel to identify that it is not loaded. The show rules are no loaeded weapons. It doesn't matter how you carry the weapon after it has been checked.
