That is a great shot with a handgun especially at unknown distance. Its one thing to do that on a range with known distances. Moving target no less.

There is a very interesting chapter in Elmer Keith's book Sixguns regarding long range shooting with a handgun (revolver in his case). Anyone into handguns should pick up a copy of that book (look on abebooks.com).

I can't disagree with your quote. How about better to be lucky and have God on your side when the front sight would cover a house at that distance?
