and this is just in from my uncle...

Wanted to keep funneling info on our cousin as quick as I get it so here goes:
Just got a text - they removed his breathing tube & took him off sedation meds this a.m. - some family were in the room & they asked if he recognized them - he nodded yes & winked at them......he also responded to commands to move his feet - excellent stuff. His brain showed a bit of swelling so they had to put him back on sedation meds. He did actually talk today - told his mother that he loved her - very hushed tones but he could actually have a thought & complete the process which is stunning four days into this. I'm hoping the improvements keep coming fast & furious, but you never know in these situations......we'll keep the prayers going.
I truly believe that you all have played a major role in this, thank you!

I firmly believe that when we focus positive energy, thoughts and prayers of healing we, as humans have the power to do miraculous things.

After all...we are created in the image of God.

Thank you all and please keep them coming.

another update...the internet has done wonders for communicating...
(cousin's wife)reports that (cousin) continues to do well...he puckered up for a kiss when he saw her tonight and then again when she was leaving. He called her by name and continues to recognize visitors. He is in a lot of pain but the doctors have removed the bolt in his head that was monitoring the intracranial pressure and he ...is able to take meds by mouth so his swallowing is fine. The miracles continue....

PLEASE keep it up...you all are making a difference

Hi all,

Just wanted to ask that you all continue to focus any positive thoughts, energy and prayers for my cousin. He was put back in the ICU this weekend. His sodium levels were low and it was causing him to become more unresponsive.

Thank you.

Lord I will as that in the hospital, family in waiting, all that care & are loved ones, that you would grant your healong hand & also send your minister for them personally.
In Jesus Name I will ask it.
AMEN

From my aunt and uncle
AS OF THURSDAY EVENING(SEPT 2) (my cousin) IS BACK IN THE ICU. HE WAS RUNNING A FEVER AND HIS BLOOD PRESSURE WAS DOWN. THEY ARE RUNNING VARIOUS TESTS TO LOOK FOR INFECTION. ON THE POSITIVE SIDE HE DID SAY A COUPLE OF THINGS TO (his wife): "HOW'S MY FACE" SO I AM GUESSING HE REALIZES HE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND HE ALSO TOLD HER "I LOVE YOU" WE CALLED THIS MORNING AT 8:15(SEPT 3) AND TALKED TO THE NURSE AND HE SAID HIS FEVER IS DOWN AND HIS BLOOD PRESSURE IS BETTER. THE DRS HADN'T MADE THEIR ROUNDS YET SO WE SHOULD KNOW MORE LATER ON TODAY
Please keep the thoughts and prayers coming his way.

Thank you to all.

(My uncle) went to the hospital this morning and when he walked in (My cousin) said "How you doing?". He said it about knocked his socks off. They talked for a while and even played a few hands of poker. (My cousin) even shuffled and dealt the cards. Played draw poker and that he kept the right cards and threw away the bad ones. He asked him where he got married and he replied "Jamaica". They talked for a long time. His sodium level was back to near normal and that they thought the infection has been reduced significantly. When he was getting ready to leave he ask him if he wanted to get payed in cash or a check for the money he owed him for the poker game. That got a smile in response. Sounds like the prayers are being heard and, of course, need to be continued.
Please keep them coming!
