When I'm driving, I put my wallet in my cup holder because I don't like sitting on the lump. At any rate, was off to the store and did my normal routine, but on my way out the door, wife called to me to take care of something real quick. Upon completing that, I got in the car and left. Only when I got to the store and reached for my wallet in the cup holder, did I notice it wasn't there! I had placed it on the table at home when my wife called for me. :banghead: Drove all that way with no ID or CHL. Would not have been fun had I been pulled over.

What would happen?

You'd tell the officer that you are Ghost TX and that you have a valid TX DL and CHL, but do not have the paper for either with you as you're on your way home to retrieve them from the table where you left your wallet, but that you are more than happy to give him whatever info he needs to verify the information. He'd ask you questions and then would look you up. He'd come back with a ticket for 47 in a 40, no DL, and no CHL. You'd take driver's ed for the speeding, would present your valid DL to the court and would pay an administrative fee of something like $10 for that, and nothing would come of the lack of CHL as there's no penalty attached.

You could have far worse days.
