Based on pics/reports I saw on another forum I visit, it looks like TulAmmo's price point comes in at what Federal used to be. In the picture TulAmmo 9mm luger was $9.47 per 50 and it sat next to the $10.47 boxes of Federal 9mm FMJ.

How does it compare to the Monarch steel case ammo? Is it going to be sold at all Walmart locations eventually? I haven't seen it yet. How was the price? The price for Tula 45 on the luckygunner site was $160/500 but Walmart has brass 45 value packs for $32/100.
Just checked the prices tonight. Available calibers & prices are the following:
.380 - $14.27 50 rds
9mm - $ 9.47 50 rds
.40 - $12.97 50 rds
.45 - $14.97 50 rds
.223 - $ 4.97 Not sure rds/box
The above info pertains to the closest WW to me. YMMV
One of the sales guys thought that this TULAmmo would likely not become a regularly available item at WW.

From their site, and how .223 is usually packaged, I'm guessing it's 20.
Which isn't _that_ bad, considering Gander Mountain still trys to sell XM193 for $14/20

I wonder about Russian QC, but I don't see anything fundamentally wrong with steel cased ammo in SOME cartridges - after all, the US military used millions upon millions of rounds of steel cased .45 ACP in WWII . . .

I was at the Wallyworld at Westheimer and Kirkwood this past Friday and the had a good amount of the TULammo in various calibers. They also had plenty of .45 and 380 in Remington, Federal and also Winchester White boxes in 100's (both calibers) for about $32.00 per box. First time I have seen that amout in a long time. I remember buying a box of .45 - 100 count WW for $42.00 at Academy a year ago. Things are looking up.

I've seen it at Cabela's and J&G Sales. It also comes in a few different types of packaging. I've seen the above black & yellow, as well as a white box with black lettering. No idea if it is going chain-wide at Wal-Mart, though. Price seems competitive. My dad just bought a 1000 round case of .223 from J&G for $200, IIRC.

I just picked up a box of 9mm FMJ 115gr, haven't shot it yet, but it doesn't look too bad for steel case stuff.

II got some in .380 and tried to shoot it in my P3AT. Failed to feed most every round. When I did get it to shoot it seemed hotter than other rounds I have used. I could only get thru a few shots before I put it up because it was tearing my hand up. I think it might be fine in a heaver and bigger gun if it will feed right. But, not good for me it seems. I am going to wait until we get a warm day and see if it wasn't just me which is not beyond me by any stretch. Anyone else have issues with the .380 in one of the small and light guns?

Those prices listed above are exactly what they are here in Round Rock at 2 different WalMarts ... I've hesitated to buy it just based on Wolf's history of "dirty" ammo .. I still may try some 9mm at some point.

I've been shooting the 9mm in my CW9 and my Sub 2000 for the last month, and I like it. It is consistent, accurate, and clean. I have yet to have a FTF or FTE. Did I mention it is clean? If anything, it is cleaner than WWB. I picked up two boxes in .40 this afternoon. I'm hoping it lives up to the expectations the 9mm has set.

Anyone know if the TulAmmo bullets will attract a magnet? My local indoor range will not allow it if so?
Last summer at WalMart I purchased a box of the RWS Sport Line 9mm - 124grain FMJ made in Switzerland. It attracted the magnet and the range insisted on holding

the box while I shot my other rounds.

Just checked.. Yes it WILL hold a magnet. So will monarch and most likely all Russian ammo. I tried 3 different Russian brands and they all would.
