It can be very difficult to carry the weapon that you are the most comfortable with without changing your attire at least a little bit.

That is one of the reasons I have not put any .40 cal in my gun safe. 9's with 400 ft lbs, .357 out of an SP101 3 inch with 505 ft lbs, or the occasional .45 with 450 ft lbs of energy is what you will find on me any given day.
All much preferable to the .380 for general daily carry IMO.
If your feeling a bit brave some time I can send you some hunting loads that come out of a 4" GP100 at 1410 fps, with 158 gr bullet putting out right at 700 ft lbs of energy for you to try out of the 2 inch gun. Not recommended for nightime shooting.
