I really don't know. Who enforces the law which states you can't post on government property?

To my knowledge, no one. IMHO it really isn't a law that you "can't" post. It is an exception to the application of 30.06 statute.
I personally carry wherever it is legal, including those City Owned property posted with an invalid 30.06 sign. Now, if they start putting metal detectors out front, that will probably change how far I am willing to push it.

So what's the deal? How come no one ever challenges their 30.06 on city property? As I read up in the thread they do have 30.06 posted on the grounds.
How would you suggest this challenge occur?
Well first you get arrested..................................

Actually, i believe Charles has shown a way to challenge government owned buildings posting 30.06. IIRC, he said to start by submitting an open records request of all discussions on the subject of posting. Then you can write a polite letter explaining how the posting is not enforceable and requesting it be changed. Including how an unenforceable sign might open the agency up to civil liability under 42 USC 1983 (civil rights violations for false arrest) might help get your point across.
Obviously, some cities or agencies will still claim to be legal and refuse to change. Those you need to wait fr the court case to change.
