I buy from ammoman.com. UPS just leaves it on the ground at my gate. It generally gets here within 3 days of placing my order.

Well, ordered from Ammunition to go on Friday, mid-day, they've already shipped and I'll have on Monday. Now that's what I call service. Of course Monday is not here as yet so we'll see but so far a pleasurable experience.
When I checked their prices they were close to everyone else, even with Texas tax and shipping costs. So, thanks to all for the tips and assurances. Let y'all know the outcome. :totap:

I've ordered ammo from them multiple times.

Once I got my order in two days, the others within the week.

Very happy with them.

Have ordered from Gander Mtn (http://www.GanderMtn.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and got free shipping and cheaper than wal-mart prices on 9mm (It's Blazer brass). The ammo worked fine.

I like Georgia Arms for inexpensive practice ammo that is still of high quality.

I have successfully ordered from Ammoman.com, Ammunitiontogo.com, and one whose name I can't remember right now, they only advertise on Gunbroker. I stocked up two years ago and haven't purchased much since then, but at the time I was monitoring about a dozen retailers/websites for 9mm and .30 Soviet. For bulk purchase, several internet retailers beat Walmart and Academy easily, even with shipping costs. Online, CheaperthanDirt was always noticably more expensive (and not only on ammo). That company from Georgia that sells "Canned Heat" (Georga Arms?) were very close in price but never ordered from them. However I know people that have and were happy with it. None of the companies I ordered from required signature for delivery.

As I said, this data is 2 years old, so YMMV.

Well, after ordering Friday afternoon, UPS showed up today at 2:00 pm and delivered the ammo. that is pretty cool service. they did a great job and at a reasonable price. So, I do recommend ordering AMMO from Ammo man out of Brenham, TX

Here is what we ordered and received so quickly from AMMO MAN...Winchester "SRT" Ranger 9mm +P 127 gr, Winchester "SRT" Ranger 45 ACP 230 gr, Speer "LE" Gold Dot 45 ACP 230 gr & Speer "LE" Gold Dot 9mm 124 gr. So, we'll see which one the kimber 45, for me, likes and for her which one her Springfield 9 mm likes.
Again, to all who contributed to this thread about online ammo ordering, Thanks!

I've ordered some hollow points and cheap range rounds from MidwayUSA, but usually only when I need something else I can't find at the store locally. Recently it was a bottle of FP-10 lube, so figured some rounds to go with it makes the shipping more bearable...
