A while back, I purchased ONE OF THESE thinking it might be a good idea, but I never did install it. I may still used it; I don't know. Mostly, I haven't done it yet because I can't think of anywhere in my house that I'm willing to cut that big of a hole. I like my wood panelling.

I was interested in several clocks years ago... might get one some day

First hide-a-gun clock I saw was built by a policeman who had a booth at a Houston Gun show.
Might build "do-it-yourself" things so they(stereo speakers/clocks/paintings/books/VCR/Computer/Box-o-All Bran cereal/whatever) look nothing like what burglars browsing the web are used to seeing.

Purpose I see isn't to hide them from burglars, but from kids, while keeping them handy.

Burglars might steal all your books and cheap plastic clocks.... if they have time

The finish on that looks quite nice. and being inlayed into the wall would make it much less obvious.
