Looks like a good one, I especially like that it is hammer fired. If it costs less than the Sig, which is a pretty safe bet imho, it will be a winner. I've been thinking of getting something with more fire power than my LCR, and this may be it (among about a zillion other guns that I want ).

A bit disappointing IMO. Upon comparing it to other BUG or Near-BUGs in a spreadsheet, it appears to be pretty much just a thinner, single stack, G26 to my way of looking at it. Had it used polymer to build a pistol the size of a Rohrbaugh but much lighter, then I would be more interested even though recoil might be less than fun. Oh well, we will just have to see how the market reacts to it.

Wider is only better in cars. I'm looking for a pocket pistol, so a thinner Glock 26 would be perfect for me. The reduced magazine capacity is a factor, though. I'll borrow my buddies 26 and toss in my pocket to see how it feels before buying anything, but I suspect it'll be a bit thicker than I want. Assuming I'm correct about that, the LC9 and P290 are the two front-runners for me, pending favorable reviews and range reports. I love my P226, so I'm inclined to stick with Sig, but my wallet would much prefer the Ruger. (Especially if I still end up getting a P220 Super Match or P226 X-Five Tactical at the end of the year as a present to myself for meeting my weight-loss goal.)

Nothing about this gun leaps off the spec sheet to make me say "wow". But it is a nice alternative to similar Kel Tec and Taurus guns. And another addition to the increasing choices of single-stack 9mm subcompacts is in itself a good thing.

Are you seeing this Gaston? When will Glock step up with a single stack 9mm pocket gun?

Not that I need another 9mm, but if/when it comes in stainless and I see good reports on it's function, I may consider it. I'm kinda spoiled by the EMP.

Well...I was excited until I read internal lock, manual safety, AND a magazine disconnect. I understand in our litigious society these things are becoming more commonplace in new pistols, but given the LCP has no manual safeties, no internal lock, and no mag disconnect this makes little sense to me....especially if they are hoping to attract previous buyers. I have nothing against a manual safety, but since I carry a Kahr PM9 without one I'd rather not have to remember a different protocol to make the firearm ready to fire under stress. I would still like to shoot and handle one, but I would have to see a alternate model for the KISS folks like me before I would put my money (and my life) on it.

i like hi cap mags in 9mm. this pistol is not that intersting to me.

Speaking of interesting guns, have any of you seen this? It strips the round out of the mag as the slide begins to recoil, ejects the spent shell and pops the new one up in its place right at the end of rearward motion, and the chambers the round with the forward motion. The back of the barrel is about even with the back of the magazine.

Now that is an interesting invention. It seems more complicated that standard browning design. It cut short the overall length? It cost more which is expected. However, how about reliability? Is there a double stack version?

I just love me some Ruger.

That gun's overall length is 5.1" with a 3.35" barrel, vs 6.81" with a 3.5" barrel for the Ruger SR9c. In terms of %, the barrel in the Boberg design is 66% of the OAL vs 51% in the Ruger. The gun's not even out yet, so no word yet on reliability. I suspect that a significant part of going with a single-stack magazine is to simplify the design process. There aren't too many other guns that strip the rounds backwards, so best to keep everything simple until there's more experience with the mechanism.

Also of a concern how does inseting tham mag will interact with tge bullet pulling extractor. I guess the slide does not lock back on last rd. Also rhere is no sa/da trigger version nor a hi cap. Looking at spec and comparing to my PX4SC length is 5.1" vs 6.2" , barrel 3.35" vs 3" rd 13+1 or 17+1 vs 7+1

I like Ruger and have several.

This however leaves me unimpressed thus far.
I will wait on the actual touchy feely stuff to make a decision.
