My second order was for a Lille of mag carriers. When it came, I opened the box and there was a free hat inside. I've since met him a couple of times at the Foat Wuth gunshow, and he was just as nice in person as he was over the phone.
TAM,
How is the quality of his products? Are they durable? Does the belt support the weight properly? Also, if your holster is one of the IWB is it comfortable?
His quality is very good. Comfort was ok too. I don't use the holster anymore, but that has more to do with the horizontally challenged shape of my body than it does with the quality of the product. I was a total noob when I bought it. Hindsight being 20/20, I should have bought one of the two loop models instead of a single loop model.
Thanks :tiphat:

I have the Texas Heritage and have really enjoyed it. Great holster.

I have contacted Rob on several occassions and he has been nothing but helpful and timely.

As for
I also really appreciate you throwing my idea out there for all to see. Very professional.
You took him to task and he was explaining his side. Doesn't work very well if the facts are not there. Rob's OK, cut him some slack. Even if he didn't get back to you in a timely fashion he's just a small-time outfit like a lot of us. Emails fall through the cracks sometime.

Emails are tricky. For time sake, short and to the point allows one to answer a lot of emails very quickly. The down side is it often comes across curt.
On the other hand to make sure everyone has warm fuzzies it can easily take 20 min to answer an email. I deal with this all the time. The correct and appropriate response can be handled in one sentance but to keep parents off my back I have to write a mini-novel so they feel satisfied.

Give Rob a chance, you'll be happy with his product.

It had nothing to do with him not replying in a timely manner, not sure where you got that. To his credit he was very fast in that regard. Again, it was the fact that my question was ignored in both of the replies that I received.

As for explaining his side, I believe that could have been done without the specifics of my idea thrown out there.

I'm not thrilled about the contents of private emails being published here either.

As Rob stated, he thought everything else in your message was contingent on your special design.

Since he couldn't do it, he assumed the rest was irrelevent.

That still doesn't explain why the question was not answered the first time...prior to asking about my idea.

Like I have said above it didn't set right with me that a potential customer's questions would go unanswered. Obviously there is a reason that they are asking those questions.

I was happy with my experience with Tucker Gun Leather. They had to correct an attachment issue, and they sent me a replacement very quickly. Rob personally returned my call and delt with the issue.

It's been about 3 years and I still use the holster regularly.
