I have had a Khar, and a Kimber. I would choose a kimber any day of the week to save my life.

Yeah, the plastic Kahrs tend to have some issues, but the all stailess ones that I have delt with have been flawless.

Saw a video were it was only a 1/4 inch longer then a LCP and abouut the same height. Thats a small package. I will def get one as a BUG just to have a little more power then the LCP/SIG P238 (Sig P238 I would Highly Reommend as a BUG very easy to shoot) that I use as a bug now. Think ill also wait though to make sure the bugs are worked out!

I think if you held reliability concerns of Kahr vs Kimber, you might be surprised. Kimber makes pretty guns, but I am no longer of the mindset that if it says Kimber on the frame it must be amazing. I'm actually quite surprised to see so many people jumping in line to get one, and already saying they will carry it. I would make this thing go through its paces before even getting excited about it. I have over 1000 rounds through any gun that I carry (w/ fresh springs). Self defense guns are not a fashion contest or status symbol. Both Kahr and Kimber make decent guns, but please make sure that the actual gun in your hand will work when you need it to - regardless of what name is roll marked on the side.
For example - Wilson makes a great gun for a 1911 - but if I was going into a foreign land with no parts, I would take a Glock. Something really sticks with me about that "it always works" thing.

Has anyone actually seen a Kimber Solo Carry for sale in a store? In particular, in the Austin area or within say 50-100 miles of Austin? I've started looking, and so far all I've been able to find is a demo model, NFS, in the Cabela's case.
That said, I suppose I wouldn't buy just yet, anyway. But I'd like to actually see one for sale. By the time I do see one, I'll probably have lost interest and found some other shiny thing to want.
