I've never heard of any range banning steel casing. Steel core bullets, yes. But not the case.
There are ranges that prohibit steel case ammunition.

They don't want to have to go through the trouble to separate steel from brass when selling the empties. The steel casings aren't reloadable and the steel isn't worth as much as brass on the metals market.

I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info. I guess the few ranges I frequent don't have any problem with it. At least on the rifle range.
