Congrats! She sure is a beauty. Now I am itching to take my Colts out to the range. I agree with your comments on the all steel frames. There is something comforting about an all steel fighting pistol that I miss when I carry my polymers.

I only shoot steel. I'd gladly accept many quality polymer firearms, but I prefer and own metal.

For daily carry, I prefer the "classiness" of carrying a 1911 - as long as it is functioning, and reliable. To me it has a connotation of a gentleman's weapon. If was going to abuse it in the desert/swamp/arctic, I would take my G21sf. Thanks for the kind words, I'm ready to finish my own break-in/proving period and get qualified on it.
