Kimber or STI & why.

Re: Kimber or STI & why.
We have sold a lot of STI's and the buyers are thrilled with them, as mentioned the fit and finish is superior to Kimbers (which are also quality). Having shot them both I am much more accurate with the STI, the Escort model is unbelievable and is by far my favorite model. The only thing you will find out is that STI does not discount them very much to the distributors so the most you will get off MSRP is 10% which only allows the dealers very small profit margins. The good part is I have never returned an STI for repairs, cannot say that about Kimbers.........

You have to make a appointment for the tour. I could (easily) be mistaken, but I think they have tours on Tuesday and Thursday. You can email sales@STIGuns.com or call them and ask for somebody in sales.wninja wrote:I don't mean to detract too much from the topic of this thread, but this sounds like something I'd like to experience. Can you just drop by any time or is there someone I would have to schedule this with?dcphoto wrote:Dave2 wrote:austinrealtor wrote: I'd suggest taking a drive down to Georgetown for an STI factory tour. Walking the factory and seeing the time and effort that goes into producing each of their guns makes it a whole new experience buying one. Plus, they have an example of every gun they make available for you to fondle and drool on.
One thing to note, however, is they smoke inside the office. It's not like there is a haze of smoke hanging in the place, but the smell is there. Just FYI in case that kind of thing bothers you.

Heavy smoke ? Second hand smoke ?? ... cough ! cough ! ! Thanks for the info. (seriously.)
I can't stand an ole' stinky, smelly, brown tar, dirty ash tray.. cigarette odor smell.
Smelly clothes and hair odor, keeps me away.
NOT being rude ... brown tongue / ash tray odors, just can't be near it.
Thanks ! I'll get the brochures instead.
